How it works
Dext uses OCR (optical character recognition) and templating technology to extract written information from financial documents.
The platform accepts receipts, bills, invoices and other documents in many file formats including JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF, DOC, and HTML.
Dext Prepare extracts the:
- Original document image
- Type of document; whether it’s a receipt, sales invoice, credit note, etc.
- Document Date
- Supplier
- Currency
- Total
- Tax Amount
- Invoice Number
- Payment Method (for Business Plus and Business Premium plans)
